I am so excited to say Melissa is gaining in understanding so quickly.

She is still Seizure Free for 5 months! and is not on any medication!

She sucked out of a straw the other day for the first time. Then her therapist put her food and her drink in front of her and asked her which one she wanted, Melissa looked at them both several times and then reached her right hand to her left side and grabbed her bowl of food. Then yesterday Kelly had made a goofy noise at her she looked away for a few seconds then looked back at him and giggled- they continued to do this for about another 20 times- Kelly would make a goofy noise then Melissa would look away for a few seconds then look at him and giggle. She was engaging him in play! She totally got the cause and effect understanding.

When we were in the van last weekend Tucker was sitting next to her and not paying any attention to her she out of the blue yelled “Tuck”

She did her physical therapy at Childern’s Care Hospital and School today and got to go swimming for only the second time in her life-she loved it! Boy did she use her muscles in the water. I think we will have to see about adding the pool to her PT.

It is so exciting to see the progress she is making
